Making caramel iced coffee at home is relatively simple and allows you to customize it to your taste preferences. I ordered an Iced Coffee Maker and it’s been “iced coffee heaven” for me! My caramel iced coffee recipes are very easy to make. As everything else in life, you make things work out for you. Sometimes I would switch up my brand of coffee that I would use. But my two favorites are the Good & Gather brand from Target (Caramel Macchiato) and/or Dunkin (original blend). Both of these are grounded, of course.
Here's a basic recipe to help you get started:
Ingredients:
1 cup strong brewed coffee (you can use your preferred brewing method)
Ice cubes
1-2 tablespoons caramel syrup (adjust to taste)
1/2 cup creamer (you can use dairy or non-dairy alternatives like almond or oat milk)
Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
Caramel drizzle (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
Brew the Coffee: Brew a strong cup of coffee using your favorite method. You can use espresso, French press, pour-over, or any other brewing method you prefer.
Add Ice: Fill a glass with ice cubes.
Add Caramel Syrup: Pour 1-2 tablespoons of caramel syrup into the glass. Adjust the amount to your liking, depending on how sweet you want your iced coffee to be.
Pour in Coffee: Pour it over the ice and caramel syrup in the glass.
Add Milk/Creamer: Pour 1/2 cup of milk/creamer into the glass. Adjust the amount of milk based on your preference for creaminess.
Stir: Use a long spoon to stir the ingredients together, ensuring that the caramel is well mixed with the coffee and milk.
Top with Whipped Cream (Optional): If you like, you can add a dollop of whipped cream on top for extra indulgence.
Drizzle with Caramel (Optional): If you want to enhance the caramel flavor and make your drink look more appealing, drizzle a little extra caramel syrup on top.
Enjoy: Give your caramel iced coffee a final stir and enjoy your delicious homemade treat!
Feel free to experiment with the proportions of coffee, caramel, and milk/creamer to suit your taste preferences. Sometimes, I add cinnamon and whip cream, if I want to get fancy with it.
