28 Days of Self Care. Part 1

Hello everyone. February is known as the love month. Well, you can love everyone but how much do you love yourself. I suffer with this issue. I mean, I can come to the decision that I love all around me but I have never actually loved myself.

So I was challenged by my Blogging mom, Javacia Harris Bowser, Founder of See Jane Write, to do a 28 Day Self-Care challenge with her. So, guess what? I jumped right in on it.

Day 1: I started walking for about 30 minutes while at work. I mean, it also helps my activity watch on my Apple Watch.

Day 2: I went to the salon and got my hair cut! Now, it' not short but it is the cutest bob ever. I have always wanted something that looks like an adult (since I am getting older in age and I don't have a problem with it).

Day 3: I hosted a brunch for my marriage blog and I got a chance to laugh and enjoy great food! It was soooooooo relaxing and fun! It was like I was talking to my homegirls.

Day 4: I went to church and I enjoyed the service so much! I mean, I go to church any way but this service was different. It felt like I was actually into the service and everything that took place was meant for me. I also went to a Super Bowl party with some friends and I enjoyed the laughter and company of that.

Day 5: I had 2 doctor appointments this day. I mean it is only right for me to take care of my body right? They were both excellent appointments with great feedback from my doctors. That made me feel excellent! I must start taking care of myself.

Day 6: I went home to relax after work. I found out that my son didn't;t have practice so I went home and shut it down! I didn't know how to act. I mean it was just an odd feeling because I am always doing something. So yeah, that was so overdue and worth it.

Day 7: I didn't rush my mind today. Some may say that's not really self care. But to me, it is. Why? Because I will have my mind wondering all over the place and I start feeling like I'm going to crash and crash hard.

So stay tuned for the next 7 day in this 28 day self-care challenge!
