Hey y'all! This evening I got my planners together and started working on them for the upcoming week. Normally, I would do it on a Saturday but I had a busy Saturday, so I decided to do it Sunday evening. I had a free Sunday, so why not.
I can't make any promises but I am going to try to post 5 Happy Planning Tips that I like to do with my planning and share it with you all. I enjoy planning and decorating my planner. As I have mentioned before I am very girlie so I like to do girlie things. I love my Happy Planners (I have several-5 to be exact) and the accessories that I use in them.
Here are my 5 Happy Planning tips that I like to do:
1) Stick with my color scheme. I have noticed that several planners do a lot of stickers and put them on the page(s) just to put them on there. I like to stick with what color I have going for that month and week. Even if I don't have the actual stickers to match the color, I can always make printables.
2) Don't overload the pages. Okay, I do love the big stickers that can take up an entire section, but I don't like for it to take up the entire section. To me the idea of a planner is to write in it. Thankfully, I can write and decorate. I limit myself to the number of stickers I put up the page(s).
3) Choose a theme. For the monthly layout, I choose a theme and I pretty much stick with it throughout the month. That goes for colors, wording, etc. Yeah, it's a little OCD thing.
4) Use erasable writing utensils. When I am writing down the daily activities, I try to use the Pilot Erasable pens or mechanical pencils. This way, if I write something that I make an error on, I can erase it and it won't look junky or messy. I do like neatness.
5) Follow and network other planners. This is big. I am on social media and I follow several planner pages on all of them. I have met some great people through the planner community and gather a lot of ideas. Trust me, you will learn a lot! People take this very serious, as they should. It's a lot of fun.
As I mentioned earlier, I will post planning tips weekly so we may all grow together.
