7 Virtues, I Will Apply!

"Believe in yourself and you're halfway there." - Theodore Roosevelt

The word virtue means the conformity of one's life and conduct to moral and ethical principles;uprightness; rectitude. So to narrow that all up in a few short words is basically to act right. Now, I'm not saying that I don't act right but I will say that I can do better in certain areas of my life.

See, I am involved in A LOT! I have always been the type of person that is concerned about how I carry myself, how I smell, how I look, and most of all how I act. Not only am I representing myself, but I represent God and my family. I have the opportunity to meet some great people from all areas of life and you just never know who is watching and paying attention. But, I also want to start looking at myself in the mirror and say "damn girl, you did it".

My 7 Virtues:

1) Faith - reading my bible consistently. The Word of God has to be applied to everything in life. I will also start back in my prayer journal. Very important to have a prayer life.

2) Marriage - be more encouraging, supportive, loving, and respectful to my spouse.

3) Health - taking better care of my body on the inside and outside. I can't see the inside but I surely can feel the affects from the inside.

4) Financial - managing my spending better. If the amount can't be replaced of the purchase, then I don't need it.

5) Classy - hey I'm a lady. Act like it. Think like it. Be like it.

6) Self-Care -Taking the time and listening to myself. What do I want? It's okay to say no. Taking care of my mind, body, and spirit.

7) Rest - allow my body, mind, and spirit to wind down and just relax. Don't over do it!

Even being married, my spouse can't do everything that it will take for me to take it easy, I must do it for myself. I have to see about me first! If I don't take care of myself, then I won't be able to be a better wife nor mother.
