With so many problems going on in the world, sometimes it gets hard to motivate yourself. I mean there are just everyday life ups and downs, politics, health, especially CORONAVIRUS, and sometimes it gets hard and motivation is the last thing on your list. Motivating means to stimulate interest in or enthusiasm for doing something.
But you must motivate yourself no matter what. Staying encouraged and motivated makes you feel like you are a better person. It pushes you to fight through the upsets and hard times, and go forward. Just think back on that one time where you wanted to give up but you didn't. That's motivating. How? Well if you didn't give up then and that was a small issue, that should mean that you shouldn't give up now.
How do I motivate myself? Well, there are many ways. I read the Bible. I write in my journal. I read motivational quotes. I look in the mirror and start talking to myself. Yes, I talk to myself and it's not a bad thing. There are so many scriptures in the Bible that are motivating and makes you feel like a better person. One great reminder that is very motivating from the Bible is that God will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31 chapter verse 6).
You can google motivational quotes and thousands will come up. Grab a journal and start writing them down. I have a section in my planner for motivational quotes only. Whenever I come across one, I write it down. I also write them down on sticky notes and have them everywhere. Hey, we all need a reminder. Whenever I feel down or feel like I can't do it, I just turn to one of these things, the Bible, writing in my journal, read/write motivational quotes, or have a conversation with myself, and then I feel better. It's no fun being a Debbie Downer.
If you don't motivate yourself, you should start. Don't wait on others to motivate you, you can do it for yourself.
If you do motivate yourself, let me know what and how you do it.
