Okay, so yes I'm sharing this with you all because 1) it may help someone and 2) this is part of my blogging prompts for the month of February...lol :-) January 2018. The first month of the new year. So many people set their goals and set out what they are going to do for the year. Well, I kind of did that and I kind of didn't. The difference was is that I just went every day in the month learning what works for me and what doesn't. I wrote out goals but I marked them as challenge.
So here goes my list: HIGHS 1) I started drinking more water. I don't like it. I mean I know that its good for you but I don't like it. So, I have a little reminder on my phone on to remind me on to drink a glass of water. It helps... A LOT! 2) I completed my first book for the year. It was a really good book. In a recent post, I mentioned that I have "challenged" myself to read a new book each month for 2018. So far, I'm off to a great start. 3) Oh yeah, I got my technology!! I am back with the Apple family. I mentioned that I wanted a iPhone 8 in my holiday wish list post. Well, I got a great deal with my carrier and got the iPhone 8+ along with the Apple watch series 3. Talking about a happy person right now.
4) I'm a blogger right (duh). Well, I set my blog posts to go out per my editorial calendar and THEY DID!!! That's big. I mean, life does happen and sometimes you find yourself not writing a post for WEEKS! Not me. Now, I just need to keep it up. (Technically, I'm working on my March posts).
LOWS
1) So, I got a MacBook Air for Christmas (gift from mom) and I did the most unsmart thing ever in the computer world (and yes, I just made that up). I wanted to reset my MacBook and guess what I did. I'm kind of embarrased telling you this. But, I erase the hard drive on it. HOW STUPID IS THAT? But thankfully, I got it fixed. Bet I won't do that any more.
2) Going to the doctor and being put on depression medicine. Many don't want to talk about depression but it's real and a lot of people suffer with it. But I also realized it's a mental thing. I just have to stay positive and stick with my daily affirmations for myself.
3) I fell off track with my savings this month. I didn't reach the goal that I have set for myself. When I went into the savings, I said that I know that I shouldn't be doing this. My motto is that if I can't replace it, then I don't need it. I use that when I'm shopping, going out to buy lunch/dinner, etc. Hey, we all learn.
So, I'm off to February and see what the month will bring. Stay tuned....until the next end of the month. :-)
